seasonal floral specialities - an update


Just a quick one - and no photos I'm afraid.

I think somewhere in my mind when I heard about the different-each-day seasonal floral cupcakes at the Hummingbird I wanted to collect them all. Despite the size of my expanding gut saying no, I was in the vicinity yesterday and grabbed Thursday's cake - the Apple Blossom.

Again, the cake had the naive little sugar flower on top, and subtle light green frosting. The base was vanilla but the frosting had a subtle apple-y taste. Not too fruity and not too fragrant, this was subtle. Almost a palette cleanser and well worth a try.
